California Common Interest Realty Associations (CACIRAs).

The common interest realty association is established to manage, maintain, repair and replace the common property used by all the property owners. In addition, the CIRA may provide other services, such as security & trash removal, for CIRA members. To accomplish these goals, the CIRA is responsible for equitably assessing and collecting funds for the proper management of CIRA properties.

The CIRA is also tasked with enforcing compliance with governing documents, and state, local and federal statutes. This may involve the use of committees, employees, contractors, or volunteers in managing processes. Laws and rules must be enforced with equality so that there is true mutual benefit derived from all members. The ultimate goal of the CIRA is to foster a sense of community.
